I love the holidays. I love the lights, I love the traditions, I love ornaments and pine needles all over the floor. I love the movies (“Muppet Christmas Carol”) and the books (“A Child’s Christmas in Wales.”) I love the good songs, I love the schlocky songs (if you’ve never heard “Suzy Snowflake” or “Dominic the Donkey”, stop reading right now and click through.)
When I was 8 or so, I left Santa a handwritten 10-page questionnaire right besides the milk and cookies. I was hoping to get some transparency on his operations up at the North Pole. (“How many elves do you have?” “List 16 of their names.” “What do they wear?” “Where do they sleep?”)
My very tired parents filled out the first 2 questions then wrote, “Sorry– in a rush! More children to get to tonight!” and went to bed. Woof!
But it didn’t matter! It was Christmas Day! Fa la la la la!
A personal highlight of this season was working with the rest of the Clover team to dream up and hone this year’s Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Year’s Celebration Boxes. They’re all packed with goodies Clover only makes at this time of year, including many inspired by our own family traditions or reinvented classics. And because it takes us time to review feedback from last year’s holiday boxes, dream up new dishes, source the best seasonal ingredients, and test recipes old and new, we at Clover had an excuse to start dreaming of snow and holiday veggie treats somewhere around late-August. Consider me a happy elf!
We designed each box to give you and yours a little bit of fun prep time and lots of good eating time, without having to worry about lost recipes and grocery store mobs.
Hanukkah and Christmas boxes are currently on sale (Christmas is actually in “pre-sale” mode right now, so if you act now you can get $10 off.) New Year’s is coming in a few days. Check out the full menus in the app and in your email.
