What do y’all think of okra?
This picture was taken in my garden. Last year was the first time I’d grown okra. And I discovered it has these ridiculous flowers. Somebody told me it was related to hibiscus. Really beautiful, isn’t it?
I always expected okra would find a way onto our menu in other regions (down south). But expected folks in Boston wouldn’t go for this guy. Am I wrong? Should we try fried okra? What do you all think? It’s become one of my favorite vegetables. But that texture can be really strange for some people.
