The other day we found onion bits in one of the OJ containers. This was really frustrating. This sort of thing kills me. Obviously it’s not the way we want our OJ to be.
We’ve made more clear labels for the OJ containers, segregated them to OJ use only, and trained everybody who handles these containers.
In the meantime, if you had onion-tasting OJ from us in the past week could you please let somebody know? You can email me or stop by any location and just mention it to the manager. Really sorry about that everybody.
The real solution here is to change the way we make OJ. When we first brought it on the menu Rolando and I (then Hat) squeezed it by hand to order. I don’t think that’s possible on the trucks anymore, they are too crowded. So we started squeezing it daily at the restaurant.
What I’m really excited about is the idea that we might be able to bring back the to order in the restaurant. Or maybe we even invest in an OJ machine. I saw a really cool one at a shop this past summer.
