$15 to spend on your first box!

What if the best food was made at your house?

Want to get more veggies into your diet but skip menu-planning, shopping, prepping, and cleaning up?

Meet Clover Meal Boxes!

1. We source peak-season ingredients from New England farms, tortilla-makers, and bakeries.

2. In our kitchen in Cambridge, we do all the heavy lifting: chopping, seasoning, and obsessing about flavor to make comforting, creative meals, like Maple-Roasted Squash Tacos, Raspberry Rhubarb Pancakes, or New England Corn Chowder with Cornbread.

3. You do the last 5 minutes of prep (chopping a delicious heirloom tomato, slicing a garlic scape, sautèing some mushrooms, heating up some soup).

Open a Clover box and you’ll find already-prepped sauces, dips, main courses, and a recipe card to show you how to assemble everything. Dinner is on the table fast!

These are not just tacos, burgers, or pizza.
They may just be the best versions you’ve ever had.

We think you might just love our boxes, so we set up a $15 gift for all newcomers to our program.

Use it to kickstart a subscription, or buy a one-off box.

Easy, tasty, plant-forward!

Testimonials

Here are some of the hundreds of notes we’ve gotten since starting our meal box program. What will you say about Clover Meal Boxes?

PSA for my friends in Boston:
@cloverfoodlab has meal boxes delivered that are 10x better than other meal delivery services I’ve used. Well-sourced, foodie-grade meals that are super easy to put together and well-priced.

Joshua

The boxes are a great value and I really appreciate how little prep/cooking needs to be done. It’s nice to have three meals ready to go during the week. My wife and I appreciate the variety in each box and definitely plan on ordering again in the future. Keep up the good work!

Rich

I’ve tried Purple Carrot, Hello Fresh, etc. and they just take SO LONG to prepare. Yours are (almost) instant and delicious.

Sean

You are my new grocery store! That pizza dough…wow. What a fluffy, nice-bite-recipe you got there! The Pepperoni oil is amazing, I have no idea what spices constitute pepperoni. So incredibly creative. And delicious. Always looking forward to next week’s meals!

Melanie

We are both finishing grad school and working full time. Pasta Saturday, Taco Tuesday, and the random Celebration Box are literally holding us together. It’s the best feeling to come home to a delicious healthy fresh veggie-packed local meal that’s only ~15 min from being done. The tacos tonight were just incredible. I want the Serrano tomato salsa to reappear. It was amazing. Thank you for feeding us!

Katie and Jerry

The maple roasted squash tacos reduced me to tears of joy, and had my husband, a lifelong squash-hater, asking for seconds. My lord, they were good!

FAQ’s

Our weekly subscription and one-off boxes have small and large options. The small feeds 2-3 people and the large feeds 4-5 people.

We’ve built these boxes to be generous so you may have some leftovers, but not too many to be stressful. If you want more or less food you can toggle between large and small on the app.

Some of our Celebration boxes have one size – this usually feeds 4 people. For bigger holidays (Thanksgiving, Passover, etc) we will do boxes that feed up to 12 people.

Click here to browse the menu.

We start with what the farmers are growing, then get creative. It’s more fun for us, more fun for you, and better for local economies.

That being said, we try hard to offer comforting, accessible recipes that are picky-kid-and-spouse-approved :)

You can check out the upcoming menu on our calendar, and reach out with any questions.

Each weekly box delivers on a specific day (ie. Taco Tuesday delivers on Tuesdays, Burgers deliver on Thursdays). You can see and manage your delivery dates in your account section.

The night before your delivery, you’ll get a confirmation text with a tracking link. This will give you a window of time in which we’ll deliver your boxes.

We will drop the box at your doorstep (boxes arrive chilled in our refrigerated vans, and can remain unrefrigerated for up to 4 hours).

If you’d like to leave a cooler, or have complex delivery instructions, please include those in the Special Notes area of your app.

We offer pick-up at CloverHUB (1075 Cambridge St, Cambridge) during the operating hours of the HUB.

If you choose to pick up your box, rather than having it delivered, we’ll drop a credit worth $10 into your app account.

Set it and forget it or pick and choose – the choice is yours!

The order cutoff for each of our subscriptions is every Thursday at 5pm EST and applies to orders starting the following Monday -> Saturday. Add-ons recur until you remove them from your order.

If you are grabbing an a-la-carte/one-off box, orders lock in 48 hours prior to the delivery date.

You will receive an upcoming menu each Monday via email, and a notification reminder each Thursday before the deadline.

Not to worry! Simply select which weeks you want to receive your box and which weeks you want to pause from the app (it’s super easy). We won’t charge you for any weeks when you are paused.

The cutoff time to pause is Thursday @ 5pm for deliveries starting the following Mon – Sat.

The calendar part of the Clover app will show whether your subscription has been paused for the given week.

Passover, Christmas, Pi Day, even “May the 4th” Day.

These boxes are BIGGER than our weekly meal boxes, and are great for feasts, celebrations, or for injecting some festivity into a week of meals.

We even make boxes dedicated to particular produce, like a Blueberry Box : )

These boxes have their own separate deadlines, unrelated to the Thursday deadline. The best way to learn about these boxes is to subscribe to our email newsletter, or to keep an eye on the Meal Box section of our app.

One and the same! Many of the same folks you recognize from restaurants and trucks are also working on our box program. It’s an exciting time. We’re hoping that we can meet you where you are, whether it’s home, work, school, or out having an adventure.

We hope you’ll love our boxes. Over the course of 2 years and 20,000 orders, we’ve had a really heartwarming response.

But we don’t want to take money from anyone who didn’t love their food.

Reach out to us at subscriptions@cloverfoodlab.com with any feedback at all – and someone will get back to you right away.

Right when I finished the final bite of my Apple Box last year, I started to think about when I could order it again. I love apples in the fall, but when I’m meal-planning, I usually opt to just pack the apples as they are—crisp, round, and raw. The Apple Box opened my eyes to using Apples as an ingredient.

Fruity, juicy, spicy, sweet. Heirloom tomatoes are here, and we’re celebrating tomato season in a big way this year.  1 – Heirloom tomatoes all over the menu, especially in a new Summer Celebration Bowl that Sara dreamed up. 2 – A big Tomato Tasting event w/Verrill Farm this Thursday afternoon at Newtonville (click here to RSVP).  3 – Our Tomato Meal Box with recipes like tomato gratin, chilled roasted tomato soup, and a perfect tomato salad. The last chance to grab it this year is Wednesday at 5pm.

I recently took a Soup Box on a family vacation and we were all blown away by the clean, clear flavors and the freshness of the produce. (It was a potato leek soup with arugula salad and cider chive vinaigrette, French bread, local cucumbers, local radishes, and 2 different types of compound butters.) If you haven’t had a meal box in a while, this time of year might be the perfect time to try one…

As a born-and-bred Yankee, I’m particularly pumped for our Cape Cod Box. We’re using mushrooms and veggies to recreate classic Clam Shack fare— clam strips, chowder, and fish and chips! Plus, Chris and the kitchen team are righting the eternal wrong that Veggie Lovers never get to experience the rich luscious buttery joy of an overstuffed Lobster Roll with a perfectly toasted bun.

Yellow and green summer squash. Basil. Beets. Scapes and scallions and spinach. Summer produce is starting to appear in our kitchen in abundance! Which means our Weekly Meal Boxes are getting even more vibrant and exciting. Here’s what we’re cooking up for next week: 6/30-7/6.

For the week of Valentine’s Day, we’ll be delivering these Making Whoopie (Pie) Kits 😉. They have everything you need to make whoopie pies — more specifically, Chris’ favorite oatmeal cakes with beet buttercream frosting. You’ll also get a scoop for making the perfect size pie, and a roll of sugar cookie dough for more sweet fun.

Pull out your plaid and cue up the bagpipes because it’s Clover’s third-ever celebration of Burns Night, an introduction to Scottish food/drink/music/poetry and a reason to raise a glass during this dark and cold month! You may be asking yourself, what is Burns Night?

On 10/29 Clover will turn 15 years old. It’s been 15 years since we first pulled up a tiny white food truck to the MIT campus in hopes of testing a menu that could make a dent in global warming. Since then we’ve supported so many local farmers; had tons of adventures on board trucks and restaurants; and met tons of wonderful customers. And most of all we’ve made food. Lots and lots of food. In honor of our 15th birthday, we sent out a survey asking you about your favorite LONG-LOST MENU ITEMS. We’ve picked the top results and we’re going to bring them back for one day only – in the form of a Birthday Meal Box!

One of the dishes in our upcoming Apple Box is wobbly, sweet, eat-with-a-spoon, kind of ugly, and so yummy. It’s Baked Apples. We used to make them every morning at the original Harvard Square restaurant. It would fill Holyoke Street with the smell of brown sugar and cinnamon and the first apples of fall. Turns out their history in Harvard Square is even older than our restaurant – our favorite former grocery store owner Tony Russo remembered going to diners in Harvard Square for them when he was a kid. Along with everything you need to make baked apples, the Apple Box has my favorite…

Fresh tomatoes, baked tomatoes, tomato jam, tomato butter, tomato soup. What is your favorite way to eat tomatoes? We’ve been playing with the idea of doing meal boxes dedicated to ONE seasonal veggie/fruit – but with tons of different recipes you can make at home. Now that tomatoes are coming in from Red Fire and Next Barn Over, we’ve dreamed up our first annual Tomato Box.

August 15th is Julia Child’s Birthday, and the Clover kitchen crew decided there was no more fitting way to honor our former neighbor than with a French-inflected meal box packed with Julia-inspired fare.. Our neighbor? Yes! Julia lived in Cambridge about one mile down the road from CloverHUB and shot her famous TV shows right from the kitchen of her house—but don’t try to pop in now: her kitchen was disassembled piece by piece and shipped off to the Smithsonian. Inside the Julia Child’s Birthday Box you’ll get…

In all my years of camping, my favorite campsite was located in a field of blueberries. It wasn’t near a farm or anything, just a field of wild blueberries. With berries available year round at the grocery store, sometimes you can forget that they have a season and it’s right now! Tart, sweet, creamy. Yay Blueberries! We’ve been working on this idea to make…
