Barismo has been nailing it with coffees the past two years. Some of you might have remembered this from several years ago, I know I do when I was pouring it up at HSQ. Gustavo, the owner of the coffee farm came to Clover to talk.
This coffee is grown on the isthmus of Mexico and South America in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala. Usually the varietal of this coffee is grown at low elevation in Brazil, but Gustavo had the idea to grow it at elevation and the results have been beautiful.
It’s one of my favorites, bold full flavors with crisp sweetness and a savory finish. This will be on the counter next to Metropolis, Sulawesi Tana Toraja.
