We’ve been enjoying a Colombian coffee from Seattle roaster Kuma at all our restaurants. I just overheard Lucia saying that we accidentally bought up Kuma’s entire supply of La Floresta.
That means that we have farmer Olmedo Amula’s entire crop of beans from that particular lot. Olmedo usually gets around 6,000 Colombian pesos for his crop, but it was so good this year, Mark at Kuma paid him about twice that. He sent it to Clover for us to taste, and we liked it, and we’re going through so much coffee that we ended up buying the entire lot.
La Foresta is dark chocolatey with a hint of apple. It’s available now at all locations.
